Join us for From the Ground Up & All Around, a practical workshop designed to help small business owners explore simple ways to strengthen their businesses while caring for the environment. We’ll talk about climate impacts to be aware of and prepare for, and how thoughtful changes in the way you operate can help reduce costs while contributing to a healthier, more sustainable community.

Participants will leave with two key takeaways: a better understanding of climate impacts that may affect their businesses and how to prepare for them, and practical ideas for changes that can help save money while reducing environmental impact. Whether you’re just getting started or have been in business for years, this workshop is designed to make sustainability feel practical, relevant, and achievable.

Meet the Facilitator

This workshop will be facilitated by Almendra Velazquez-Perez, Senior Climate and Health Coordinator at Fourth Plain Forward. A Washington State University alumna with a degree in Environmental Science, Almendra leads community-centered work at the intersection of climate resilience, public health, and community engagement. Her approach makes environmental topics accessible, practical, and connected to the everyday realities of our community.
